My brother Sam died of a sudden illness while travelling in India with friends in 2010. He was only 20. Every summer since then family and friends have gathered for a cricket match played in his memory, followed by a barbecue and a party with live music, with proceeds going to a charitable memorial fund set-up by my parents. In July 2017 I wrote something for a programme that was sold at the event about Sam, cricket and the team we started together.
